Course Overview

BTEC Level 3 qualifications are designed to provide highly specialist work-related qualifications in a range of vocational sectors. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment. The qualifications also provide career development opportunities for those wishing to progress to Higher Education.

Career Opportunities & Further Study

HNC Level 4 in Automotive Technology, access to University to study a BA or BSc in Automotive Technology or Engineering.


Assessment is via practical and written assignments. Each unit within the qualification has specified assessment and grading criteria which are to be used for grading purposes. A summative unit grade can be awarded at pass, merit or distinction.

Entry Requirements

Learners should be able to demonstrate that they have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes, and the assessments. English Level 2 & Maths Level 2.
