Mode of study:
Two external exams a mixture of theory and practical based units.
A combination of technical and trade units to pursue a career in practical or technical routes in construction.
Career Opportunities & Further Study
Progression to BTEC level 3 Construction and the Built Environment or Contracting Operations NVQ apprenticeship at Level 3.
To study Project management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Building Surveying, CAD technician, Site supervisory- including carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing and tiling.
2 external exams and the rest of the units are assignments and drawings
Three GCSEs at grades 3/D; or
A related Level 1 vocational qualification; and
A GCSE at grade 3/D (or equivalent) in English; or
English and Mathematics assessed at Entry 3 or above by College assessment.
A satisfactory reference may also be requested.
