4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) and a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
The Beauty Therapy - Level 3 Diploma covers advanced techniques and skills required for a career in the beauty industry. Key units typically include Health, Safety, and Hygiene in the salon, Advanced Skin Care, Body Massage, Body Electrotherapy, Facial Electrotherapy and Make-Up Application for special occasions. Students also learn about Laser and Light Treatments, Spa Treatments, and Salon Management, which focuses on business skills and client care.
On completion of this course, you will be fully qualified as an advanced beauty therapist, which will enable you to demonstrate your newly acquired skills and knowledge at a higher level for employability or higher education with university pathways.
You will be assessed through practical observations, assignments, portfolio, and theory-based online tests. On successful completion of this course you could work in industry - beauty salons, spas, cruise liners and hotels.
