Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing for Healthcare Workers – Level 3 – September Start

This is a qualification designed for adults with an interest in Adult Nursing, Child Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Learning Disability Nursing or adults seeking a change of direction because of unemployment or lack of career opportunities.
English at GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) and maths at GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D). Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview. You may be required to study GCSE maths at college if not gained already.
This course is designed to equip you with essential study skills, including essay and report writing, as well as honing your speaking, listening and reading comprehension abilities. You will be taught Human Biology and Nursing studies. Learners primarily progress to Higher Education study in areas related to Midwifery, Adult Nursing, Child Nursing, Related Health Studies degrees. In addition, internal progression to: Undergraduate Degree in Public Health and Social Care at Croydon University Centre. Career opportunities after higher education include registered nurse, nurse practitioner, teaching roles or nurse administrator.
