Course Overview

This qualification provides a range of introductory skills, as well as core knowledge, relevant to business and retail, alongside generic employability skills which are needed both in the business and administration sector and across other sectors. The Law modules will introduce you to Democracy, Power and Participation in the UK and Law in Action: Tort.

This is a qualification designed for:

  • Adults who are interest in business or law as a professional career.
  • The Access to Business and Law Level 2 course is delivered over three days.
  • You will have the opportunity to study GCSE English/Maths or Functional Skills English/maths along side this course.

Transferable skills – ICT, academic writing, working in teams, time management, interview skills, CV development are embedded within the course

Upon successful completion of your course you can enter full-time employment or after completing the Level 3 progress into university to pursue a degree in the Business and Law or Criminology and Law.

Class tutors will use a variety of assessment methods: formal reports, presentations and written assessments.

Entry Requirements

All applicants will be required to take an English and Mathematics BKSB assessment, regardless of previous qualifications. You must achieve a Level 1 in English and a Level 1 in Mathematics to be accepted on this course.

All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational and work experience. Every student will need to provide at least one satisfactory reference to support their application
